Salsa Dance Classes Cost Money and Take Time - What You Can Do to Save Time and Money
Submitted by: Elise
start, save
time, money and learn to Salsa at home before taking those Salsa
Classes. This way, not only will you enjoy yourself, supplement what you've already learned (in private at home), but you'll feel confident to dance and meet others in Salsa Classes.
What is this head start, you might ask? A Salsa Dance Video or
Salsa DVD are the next best thing to taking group Salsa Classes and
can save you time and money. Believe it or not, 75% of learning comes from vision and from an instructor's standpoint, the best method to learn dancing is the Demonstration-Performance Method (instructor demonstrates, you perform).
Rhythm and Count
As you learn to Salsa and take Salsa Classes, you
will notice there is a rhythmic pattern throughout the songs. The next time you play a Salsa song, notice there
is repetition of eight beats throughout.
In the basic Salsa pattern we have six steps to
eight beats. For the first three beats of the pattern, you step and
shift weight to the foot that corresponds with the beat, there's
a pause on the fourth beat, and another three beats to which you step
and shift weight, corresponding to that beat, then pause and repeat.
It's that simple!
